PROMISES PROMISES!!!!

In the past twenty four hours I have watched with an "I TOLD YOU SO" attitude video clips of OBAMA on the campaign trail.  FOX NEWS showed a total of eight different clips of OBAMA proclaiming that "THE HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL WILL BE DEBATED OPENLY AND HONESTLY ON C-SPAN, SO THERE ARE NO BACK DOOR DEALINGS OR ANYTHING DONE IN SECRET AND WE WOULD HAVE COMPLETE TRANSPARENCY!" Well, "C-SPAN" has asked that his promise be kept and strangely enough, (ha ha!"), the White House has been extremely quiet on the subject.
So far we have seen Mary Landreau sell her vote in Congress for a mere $300 million in perks for her state. Ben Nelson managed to have the cost of MEDICAID for the state of Nebraska picked up indefinitely by you, THE TAX PAYER, in the rest of the 49 states. The Senator from Florida sold his vote for the MEDICARE ADVANTAGE BENEFITS to continue while the rest of the states will see this benefit disappear. These and other LAST MINUTE BACK DOOR DEALS were struck during a marathon of middle of the night meetings that "Madame Pelosi," as Speaker of the House, and "Dirty Harry," Senate Majority Leader held until even the most adamant of the "BLUE DOG DEMOCRATS" cried "UNCLE!"
SO MUCH FOR TRANSPARENCY!! MADAME PELOSI AND DIRTY HARRY ARE WELL AWARE THAT WE, THE AMERICAN PEOPLE, DO NOT WANT THE GOVERNMENT TAKING OVER OUR PERSONAL AND PRIVATE HEALTH CARE, PERIOD!!! THE DEMOCRATS FACING RE-ELECTION ARE RUNNING SCARED AND SEEM TO BE DROPPING FROM THE PICTURE LIKE FLIES!! THE 'CROOK," CHRISTOPHER DODD, (OH DID I SAY THAT?,) "SURPRISINGLY?" ANNOUNCED HIS RETIREMENT AFTER A TEN YEAR RUN IN THE SENATE. I BELIEVE HIS RATINGS IN THE POLLS HAD DROPPED TO A SORRY 19 PERCENT!
MANY OF THE DEMOCRATS ARE WATCHING THEIR POLL NUMBERS PLUMMET. EVEN DIRTY HARRY AND MADAME PELOSI ARE IN TROUBLE. BUT IF REPUBLICANS WANT TO TAKE OVER IN THE HOUSE AND SENATE THEY ARE GOING TO HAVE TO ASSURE THE PEOPLE THAT THEY ARE NOT JUST GOING TO DO "MORE OF THE SAME" BETTER, BUT THAT THEY HAVE AN ALTERNATIVE PLAN TO GET AMERICA BACK ON THE ROAD TO BEING A GOVERNMENT "FOR THE PEOPLE, BY THE PEOPLE, AND OF THE PEOPLE!" WE NEED TO BRING AMERICA BACK TO THE GREAT NATION THAT EVERYONE COULD NOT WAIT TO COME AND BE A PART OF, (LEGALLY THAT IS!!)
RIGHT NOW THIS ADMINISTRATION IS TRYING HARD TO FULFILL ANOTHER PROMISE TO "FUNDAMENTALLY CHANGE AMERICA" AND WE ARE SEEING THE CLOSEST THING TO LYNDON JOHNSON'S, 1965 "GREAT AMERICAN SOCIETY,"  WHERE GOVERNMENT IS THE "BE ALL TO END ALL" AND WE BECOME LIKE PUPPIES SUCKING ON HER MOTHERS TEATS!  CAN WE SAY SOCIALISM? OR DARE WE GO AS FAR AS PAINTING THE COUNTRY "RED?!!!"
