What an interesting day Tuesday turned out to be! The back lash has already begun! DIRTY HARRY thought he was home free!! After several days and nights of SLEAZY, BACK DOOR, SWEET HEART DEALS, he was poised to give the President ALL HE EVER REALLY WANTED FOR CHRISTMAS!!! It looked like Harry had managed to garner the coveted 60 votes needed in the Senate to just barely pass their version of the HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL. The lone hold out, Senator Ben Nelson, bucking the majority of his states overwhelming opposition, finally caved in to his party and added his vote to the yes column, putting them over the top. Nelson was just one of the so called, "BLUE DOG DEMS," who, after a late night, back door push, managed to acquire some constitutionally, questionable, bargain basement deals for his home state of Nebraska. But much to Ben's surprise the 'not so silent' voices of the Tea Party Movement are causing his phone lines to be flooded with their angry opposition to his blatant arrogance against the majority wishes of his state. By a 70% margin his constituents are firmly against the HEALTH CARE REFORM BILL. Now his "yes" vote is not so definitive after having been given a tongue lashing by everyone including the Governor of his state who vehemently stated they weren't going to take the "DEAL" that Harry had struck with the senator after literally twisting Nelson's arm until he cried "UNCLE!!," and thus putting the Dem's over the top with that all important 60th YES!!! BUT!! OH MY GOSH! There seems to be a back lash against the "politics as usual" that happen to be playing out. (Remember how OBAMA promised during his campaign those practices would be ended?!!! Once again! So much for campaign promises!!!) The voices of the Tea Party movement are being raised, letting the Nebraska Senator know in no uncertain terms that his re-election in 2010 is definitely in grave danger!
However, Nebraska is not the only state who sold out to Dirty Harry's persistent persuasion. Christopher Dodd, that Senator from Connecticut who is also looking at being booted out of his seat in 2010, managed to get $100 million for a new hospital and funding for the medical and dental schools in his state. Florida held out for a continuation of it's Medicare Advantage program even though it will be cut for every other state in the union and guess who's paying for that?!! YOU ARE!! EVEN IF YOU DON'T LIVE IN FLORIDA!!!
AND THE BRIBES JUST KEEP ON COMING!!! POISED FOR THAT ALL IMPORTANT VOTE ON CHRISTMAS EVE, MORE AND MORE EAR MARKS ARE BEING RACKED UP IN THE ATTEMPT TO RAM THIS DOWN THE THROAT OF YOU, THE TAXPAYER! WHAT'S THE HURRY!! COULD IT BE THAT OUR REPRESENTATIVES ARE AFRAID THAT IF THEY DON'T PASS THIS BILL BEFORE THE CHRISTMAS BREAK THEY WILL HAVE TO FACE THE ANGRY OPPOSITION OF THEIR CONSTITUENTS WHEN THEY GET HOME?!! OR COULD IT BE THAT EVEN THOUGH THE BENEFITS OF THIS BILL DO NOT START TIL 2013 YOUR PAYCHECK WILL START SEEING THE DEDUCTIONS TO FUND IT BEGINNING JANUARY 1ST, 2010?!!! "KRIS KRINGEL," AKA, "DIRTY HARRY," HAS SAID THIS BILL WILL PASS ON CHRISTMAS EVE REGARDLESS OF WHAT THE MAJORITY OF AMERICAN TAXPAYERS WANT!!! WILL ANY OF HIS FELLOW SENATORS HAVE THE 'CAJONES' TO JUST SAY NO?!!!
