At 1 a.m. in the morning Dirty Harry managed to give what looks like quite a Christmas present to our illustrious leader. While you slept Harry rejoiced as the Senate came through with the much needed 60th vote to pass the Health Care Reform Bill. What happened to those "Blue Dog" moderate's? You know, the one's who campaigned to actually stay in the middle instead of turning radically to either the right or the left? And you thought they would give you that long awaited "voice" that somehow always gets silenced when it comes to important issues. WRONG!!!
First came the new "LOUISIANA PURCHASE" TO THE TUNE OF $300 MILLION DOLLARS!!!! Yes, the senator from Louisiana, Mary Landrieu, held out for all she could possibly get for her state that is still suffering the effects of "Hurricane Katrina." Remember that natural disaster that somehow became then President Bush's fault?!!! BUT WAIT! NOT TO BE OUT DONE!!! Nebraska's Senator Ben Nelson, who was well aware that by a margin of 3 to 1 his state is opposed to the Health Care Reform Bill, sold out for a total federal subsidy for it's Medicaid program to the tune of $100 BILLION DOLLARS that your tax dollars will pay for indefinitely whether you live in Nebraska or not!!!
SO MUCH FOR OUR TEA PARTIES!! IT'S AS IF WE WERE JUST HAVING A SUNDAY PICNIC INSTEAD OF 1 MILLION "ANGRY MOBSTER'S" PEACEFULLY MARCHING ON WASHINGTON, D.C.!! MAYBE THAT WAS THE PROBLEM!! THEY WERE PEACEFUL, CLEAN, AND ORDERLY!! OH! YEAH! I FORGOT THEY HAPPENED TO BE 'CONSERVATIVES" RATHER THAN MEMBERS OF THE COVETED 'PROGRESSIVE MOVEMENT' THAT OUR 'MESSIAH' AND THE REST OF THE "D.C." POLITICIANS IN POWER AT THIS TIME SEEM TO GRAVITATE TOWARDS!!!
I'M SURE 'DIRTY HARRY' WOULD EVEN BE WILLING TO DRESS AS SANTA AND CLIMB DOWN A CHIMNEY IN THE WHITE HOUSE TO DELIVER THE PRIZE TO OBAMA HIMSELF!
ONCE AGAIN, THE MAJORITY OPPOSED TO GOVERNMENT HEALTH CARE IS BEING SNUBBED AND THEIR VOICES ARE BEING IGNORED!!
WHY THE HURRY? THE BENEFITS DON'T EVEN BEGIN TO KICK IN FOR ANOTHER 3 YEARS! DO THEY NEED THE TAX REVENUE THAT THEY FORGOT TO TELL YOU STARTS COMING OUT OF YOUR PAY CHECK ON JANUARY 1ST, 2010?!! OOH! DID I HIT THE NAIL ON THE HEAD!! FUNNY HOW THE BENEFITS START AFTER THE NEXT PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION IN 2012! I HOPE THOSE 'BLUE DOG'S' ARE READY TO CLEAR OUT THEIR OFFICES COME ELECTION TIME IN 2010!!
