Today is a beautiful day! This is the first time I'm really able to use my blog because it took me a while to figure it out. I'm kind of computer illiterate. I guess it might have something to do with my age. We didn't have computers when I was growing up. So I decided to teach myself because I have so much to write about. As I said, today is a great day!" I woke up and was able to still get out of bed, thank God!
Lately it seems that Health Care Reform is on everyone's minds. I have very strong feelings on this subject and I feel that it is my responsibility to state them and give my reasons for them. America is MY country. This is where I was born and this is the place that my ancestors fought to give me the freedoms I enjoy today.
Lenin said "the quickest way to socialism is to socialize the health care system." I don't want government telling me when to pee! I don't want my personal information put into a government run medical record clearing house that God only knows who can gain access to. I have already been informed by one of my providers that their system had been hacked into and my records may have been compromised!
I don't want government guiding my life from the cradle to the grave. The Constitution gives me the right to Life, Liberty, and the Pursuit of Happiness. It also says the government works for me- I don't work for the government! So for these reasons I want the government to stay out of my life. I don't want them taking care of me. Just like all of you out there I am a big girl and I want to be able to make my health care decisions with my doctor, and on my own terms. As I get older I don't want an Advisory Board to decide whether my life is worth saving, or if I'm too old for that new hip. Let's face it. This is just one more way that our freedoms are being infringed upon! Peace be with you.
