I received an e-mail tonight that brought tears to my eyes. One of my oldest and dearest friends happens to be Jewish so this really hit home. Apparently, when then General Dwight Eisenhower, came upon the "DEATH CAMPS" in Nazi, Germany he was horrified at what he witnessed. Aware that the scenes before him needed to be recorded for future proof of these atrocities he ordered as many photos as possible be taken. He knew that these events may eventually come into question because there were those who would say it NEVER HAPPENED, that this one crazy, sorry excuse for a man, and arrogant dictator named HITLER could have ordered his cronies to carry out such pain and suffering on another human being!. This past week it also became apparent that Eisenhower was "RIGHT ON" in his observations. During those famous U.N. talks, Iran's own dictator, AHMADINEJAD, blasted our countries own ally ISRAEL, screaming, ranting, and raving that the HOLOCAUST NEVER HAPPENED!! But because of Eisenhower's fore thought, we DO have proof of those awful scenes and everyone around the world needs to be made aware of them! As it said at the end of the e-mail, WHO'S TO SAY THAT WON'T HAPPEN IN THE CASE OF OUR OWN 9-11 TRAGEDY? IN THE UK THEY ARE CONSIDERING REMOVING THE HOLOCAUST FROM HISTORY BOOKS SO AS NOT TO OFFEND MUSLIMS. WILL THAT HAPPEN IN OUR COUNTRY? WE SHOULD FORGET THOSE 3000 DEATHS BECAUSE IT MIGHT "OFFEND" MUSLIMS?!! IS THIS ADMINISTRATION HEADING US IN A DIRECTION IN WHICH OUR HISTORY BOOKS WILL CHANGED FOREVER AND OUR CHILDREN WILL NEVER KNOW WHAT HAPPENED ON THAT FATEFUL DAY?
