President Obama has started an "enemies list" and that's not a great sign for the future of his administration. I have written extensively about his "WAR OF WORDS WITH FOX NEWS." He has also gone after the "BIG BAD INSURANCE COMPANIES" with a vengeance. But there are a few things he fails to mention in his quest to make them look bad.
Obama seems to be really bothered by an independent study, (obviously not done by the government, imagine that?)! The study calls into question Obama's claims that the insurance companies are nothing but a bunch of money hungry CAPITALIST' and we all know how EVIL those ENEMIES are!!! It doesn't seem to matter to this administration that those EVIL, CAPITALISTIC, MONSTERS are none other than the FREE MARKET, FREE ENTERPRISE SYSTEM, and the ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT that has fueled our GREAT AMERICAN NATION for better than 200 years!
While I was reading this study by the insurance company I discovered some information regarding their profits for last year. Now we have been led to believe that insurance companies rate RIGHT up there in the company of a "BERNIE MADOFF SCHEME." We've been told their profits are akin to ENRON stealing the life savings away from the elderly! However, when I really began to delve deeply into the report, (something I'm sure OBAMA wouldn't want me to do!), I found to my amazement, their profits for the year 2008 were far less than TUPPERWARE, CLOROX, AND EVEN COORS BEER! At only a paltry 5.4 % earnings, the highest rated star of the insurance giants, HEALTH SPRINGS, barely nosed out JACK IN THE BOX at only 4%. That's kind of "puny" compared to the billions of dollars in profits that EXXON reported!
OBAMA talks about the ENEMY INSURANCE COMPANIES having this "monopoly" that is taking advantage of the sick when they are most vulnerable. JUST WHAT DO THEY THINK A GOVERNMENT OPTION IS GOING TO DO?!! I GUESS OBAMA THINKS WE ARE TOO STUPID TO SEE WHEN WE ARE BEING SCREWED!!!!
