ILLEGALS AND HEALTH CARE- YES OR NO?!

It' s on the floor of Congress once again. Congressman Honda from California has penned a letter regarding illegals being eligible for Health Care. He has already managed to get 20 of his fellow Dem's to sign it. Do you remember President Obama addressing the Congress, being televised in front of God and the Nation, stating that there would be "No coverage for Illegal Immigrants." It seems to me that Congressman Joe Wilson was called on the carpet for yelling out, "YOU LIE!" Now what is it - covered or not covered? Able to buy or not able to buy into the Government Option Plan? Now it's being said that most illegals are young and really won't use Health Care so they will help to bring the cost down. It's strange, but in my town I see dozens of Hispanic women taking children to school in the morning, pushing a stroller with at least one baby in it, very pregnant with another, and at least 2 children walking along to school. It is a well known fact that these women are ILLEGAL and they are here to have children in OUR hospitals at Tax payer expense. Our country gives these babies automatic citizenship. Then when the authorities attempt to send the mothers back to Mexico the ACLU screams that we are "tearing families apart and ripping babies literally from their mothers breast!" We, the TAX PAYER, get to foot the bill for those babies who are sick when they are born and end up spending sometimes months in the hospital intensive neonatal care unit.

In 1925, when my Grandmother came from Canada to New York because of the difficult birth of my father, she paid the bill for the hospital and the doctor BEFORE she left the hospital. There was no Welfare Program to pick up the tab. Not only did SHE pay her own way, but when my father turned 21 he joined the U.S. Marine Corps and served in Korea. That was AFTER he served in the Royal Canadian Air Force beginning at the age of 15.

This country was founded by Immigrants and it has always been open to people who want to make a better life for themselves. All we ask is that they do it LEGALLY and don't expect a Government Hand-Out for medical care, housing, and food stamps when they get here!
