It's not bad enough that my dog snores, but she also has a skin allergy problem. This doesn't sound so bad right? I have her groomed every 2 weeks because I am unable to do it myself. She has been going to the same "doggy spa" since she was 3 months old. These groomers know her well and take good care of her skin using special medicated shampoo and giving her very vigorous rub-downs. But that doesn't always take care of her itching problem completely. NOW she is using my own medication, "ATARAX" to be exact, to try and control the problem. Yet she still manages to itch terribly! She has learned if she positions her back and butt under the frame of my bed she can really get in there and dig! But here's the one thing. She picks the most in-opportune times to do this. Around midnight to be exact! This makes the bed shake as if we were having an earthquake and she has even awakened me from a dead sleep! Once I am awake enough to realize what is going on I get down from the bed and retrieve her and bring her back up on the bed. You would think that now I would be able to try and get back to sleep. Wrong!!! Dusty proceeds to position herself right around where my hands are and I know she is waiting for a good back rub. Now at midnight I'm tired and I've had a hard enough sleeping as it is. But, wuz that I am. I scratch her back and then she rolls over and wants a belly rub! We ultimately fall asleep together- her between my legs- lying on her back with her paws up in the air and my hands still massaging her belly even in my sleep. It must be love!!!
